Our team is preparing for the busy winter break season of hosting Visiting Research Scholars (VRS) within CHLA labs. If you are planning to host a VRS (not including USC Research Assistants), all completed applications must be submitted to TECPAD by noon on Monday, October 21. This deadline applies to all VRS intending to start at CHLA between December 13 and January 1. Due to the high volume of VRS applicants during this period, we anticipate a six to eight-week timeline to complete the CHLA onboarding requirements and allow for a timely start for the scholar.

Visiting Research Scholars wanting to volunteer in the lab between December 13^th, 2024 and January 1^st, 2025 must have submitted their application by October 25^th, 2024. If the form is disabling the "Submit" button, the deadline has passed and requires a start date after January 1^st, 2025.

IF UNDER AGE 18: A High School Research Trainee is a high school student (minimum 16 years old) who seeks hands-on research training and experience in preparation for a health sciences education. High School Research Trainees receive training in research, appropriate to their educational qualifications. They must be supervised at all times by CHLA-based faculty or staff.
