Topic: Bringing a Health Disparities and Health Equity Lens to Clinical Research and Practice
This 60-minute session aims to bring clarity to the many ways in which everyone involved in patient care and research at an academic health center can play an active role in advancing health equity.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this forum, participants will be able to:
- List at least three examples of research-related health disparities across different populations.
- Recognize at least two ways in which clinical research practices and applications of research results in the clinical setting may contribute to health disparities across different populations.
- Identify strategies to address research-related health disparities in individual clinical or research practices.
